For the conditions that you have described, the part should switch correctly.
The only other options that I think that could possibly be useful would be to upload the schematic or photo of the setup.
However, if you do suspect that the issue is indeed with the device an option is to return the device to the vendor from which you purchased them so that they can be returned to us for failure analysis.
