ADM2582E Technology Type

What kind of technology (I.e. CMOS, FET, Bipolar) does the ADM2582E use? adm2582e

Higher transformer inductance would lead to higher leakage inductance and lower switching frequency.

The datasheet suggests some typical transformers with inductances between 9-15uH based on the equations shown below.

In your simulation, make sure after 250ns, there is no remaining voltage ringing as described in the below text.

Wild,

We are in the process of posting a build, but know that we can only provide support for the gr-iio blocks, Pluto itself, and its drivers. We cannot provide support for GNU Radio itself or GNU Radio running on Windows, which has even limited support from the GNU Radio community itself.

The ADM2582E/ADM2587E are fully integrated signal and power isolated data transceivers with ±15 kV ESD protection and are suitable for high speed communication on multipoint transmission lines. The ADM2582E/ADM2587E include an integrated isolated dc-to-dc power supply, which eliminates the need for an external dc-to-dc isolation block.

AD9361 - DC Leakag(LO) Present at TX

Dear Fellow Engineers

i am new to the engineering community and currently working with AD9361. Through out my research so far, i have seen the Presence of DC Offset (DC Leakage from Mixer inside ad9361) on the TX side as shown below in attachment. This is the something that i would like to remove or minimize even more so that it is negligible.  Any helpful feed back or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

DC is at MR (Unwanted)  and M1 is just a single tone.

I can't see the level shifter on the schematic. So maybe you can check if the direction on level shifter is set correctly and if the MISO line is somehow grounded? Can you also try on another board since we have never experienced such issues before, just in case the part is broken and we don't have a way to conduct a self-test if the SPI is not working.

Can't get 'ifup eth0' to work

I added 'eth0' to my buildroot menuconfig's "System configuration ---> "Network interface to configure through DHCP" but that didn't seem to do anything after a rebuild. So, I added "auto eth0" and "iface eth0 inet dhcp" to /etc/network/interfaces, but that just seems to have added a "ifup: don't seem to have all the variables for eth0/inet" error to the end of the boot process.

...

Starting network...
/bin/sh: run-parts: not found                                 <--- why has this always appeared since very first time booted?
ifup: don't seem to have all the variables for eth0/inet
ssh-keygen: generating new host keys: RSA1 ED25519
Starting sshd: OK
Starting inetd: OK

Have a lot of fun...
# ifup eth0
ifup: don't seem to have all the variables for eth0/inet

#
# cat /etc/network/interfaces
# interface file auto-generated by buildroot

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

Could it have anything to do with the /bin/sh: run-parts: not found error that seems to have been there since the very first time I booted Linux?  Keep in mind that U-Boot successfully uses eth0 to TFTP-boot from the Linux host.

Shouldn't adding 'eth0' to the "Network interface to configure through DHCP" menuconfig entry be sufficient?

Hi wataru,

Yes, if VD cap short is of concern it would be recommended that an input current limit appropriate for your full load operating conditions and considering start-up inrush current for your design would help to resolve the concern (ie protect the module from damage due to a VD short to GND).

Thanks.

Sorry but i didn't understand this scaling factor very well...

What i'm doing in my code is taking the average of 15 values on the zero crossing of the line voltage signal. The value 15 is arbitrary, because i could use 10, 15 or 20 that my results will be the same with more or less precision... Am i wrong?

The shunt resistor must be 22kOhms because the sensor needs a 10mA current at nominal voltage (220Vrms). On secondary of the sensor, i made a voltage divider of about 30Ohms, that is the minimum value acording to sensor's Datasheet.

The voltage signal is about 209mV as we can see on the picture above, acording to my voltage divider. I could use whatever the value i want, just taking care to be below 500mVpk. Am i wrong?

I think the next step is to transform the value i got from the VRMS register to real world value(volts).

I'll get an variable AC source to test the linearity of my measurement, like you said. I'll use varistors also.

Thank you!!

Re: LT3741 - I am having issues with teh SW pin on the chip failing low impedance to GND when the input voltage exceeds approx 22V, is there a way of protecting. I have basically copied the circuit from the demo pcb.

In the U.S. there is a phone number I can call but I could not find a similar number for the U.K.  As shown in my image below it looks like you can open a ticket or email - I believe an email to cic@analog.com will get routed to Technical Support in your case.  You can call the U.K. sales office but they are probably busy with the bigger customers.  You can post your schematic and board layout pdfs on EZ but it seems like an awkward way to resolve this.

You can try clamping SW to VIN with a Schottky similar to the way SW is clamped to ground.  The top NMOS clamps SW to VIN in a fashion, but perhaps the body diode of the top NMOS is not fast enough to protect the LT3741.  If the clamp from SW to VIN prevents the failure in your circuit, it may mean your SW node is ringing up to the abs. max. of the LT3741 and that would also indicate pcb layout problems.

After adding I2S_MODE, build and build ldr, then download and download parameta but no sound output either.
(LEDs 1 ~ 4 turn on without any problem, and when the LED is controlled by modifying the source, it is controlled without any problem)

And if the ldr file created above is downloaded from Sigma studio and downloaded ldr and parameta, The sound source plays without any problems.

1. When transferring an LDR file from [Sigma Studio] to [boot target], is there any other data that Sigma Studio internally transfers in addition to the LDR file?

2. This problem only occurs when slave booting the ADSP-21489 from the MCU.

Does SHARC use little endian or big endian?

ADXL372 - Acceleration gain and offset stability

$

Hi,

Is there any data available on gain and offset stability of the acceleration measurements made by the ADXL372?

One of my customers, with my ADXL372 based device in hand, is quite reasonably asking about gain and offset drift over periods of 1, 2, 5 and 10 years. I don't have an answer to give them.

I haven't been able to find any specs on stability in the data sheet. I do note a white papers that talks about the importance industrial vs consumer devices without specifically referring to the ADXL372 or suggesting which category it might fall in.

Bob Scannell. “High Performance Inertial Sensors Propelling the Internet of Moving Things.” Analog Devices, Inc., 2017.

My choice of the ADXL372 is based on its low current draw which has enabled the building of a device that can last for years and therefore raised the aforementioned question of long term stability.

Any help or references you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks.

- Rod
