1, 2, 3 The code example that you have provided is correct. We tried it on our side also and got similar results. The reason why the received data doesn't look as expected is because the sampling shift between Tx and Rx. Because the Rx and Tx sampling rates are the same, if there is a phase shift between Rx and Tx, which is actually expected because of the signal propagation delay, the received waveform will be distorted. There are 2 solutions to the problem:

- transmit the data using one FMCOMMS3 board and receive the data on another FMCOMMS3 board, which samples the data at at least 2 times the frequency of the transmitted data. We tried this here and got the results in the picture below.

- use just one FMCOMMS3 board for Tx and Rx and recover the timing of the received signal so that the phase shift between Tx and Rx is cancelled.

4. The ILA buffer depth can be changed, but the design must be recompiled since the change must be done directly in the ILA IP.

5. Can you please post the code that doesn't work right?

6.  Since the Tx and Rx antenna connectors are very close to each other it is expected to receive some signal even when the antennas are disconnected.
