Re: AD5449 LDAC timing

Hi, Robert.

 

On the first serial transfer I wrote a "4000" to the DAC for maximum output signal. On the second transfer I wrote a zero. Both transfers were made with the control word 0011 (load input register A).

What are the actual data-word written to the DAC? Since the AD5449 is a 12-bit DAC whose input shift register contains 4 controlsits and 12 databits as shown in Figure 46.

On pic.2 the update is done on the 16th clock edge of the first transfer as well. But at the 2nd transfer the update is done at the point of time of the falling edge of the LDAC signal.

What is the data-word written in this case?

 

Could you also provide screenshots where we can see the 16 clocks with the data being written?
