Re: EVAL-ADUSB2EBZ (USBi) support under Linux?

That's what I was afraid of. To be clear, the USBi device is supported under Linux insofar as I can see it and communicate directly with it via libusb. Since it's implemented using the Cypress MoBL-USB FX2LP18 chip this isn't the problem. Unfortunately, I don't know the protocol that it carried over USB that describes how to encode the I2C reads/writes onto USB. I suspect this is defined within the Sigma Studio plugin. I was just wondering if ADI had any plans for documenting this protocol and take pity on developers who would like to remotely access your evaluation boards from their PCs (under Linux). I'm willing to do the work myself if I knew the protocol. Right now it appears communication can *only* be done through Sigma Studio. Is there another way to do it or do I have to purchase an Aardvark which provides the USB/I2C bridge and API?

Thanks,

Glenn
